My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom of five beautiful children. Madison (7) in 1st grade, Ryan (6) in Kindergarten, Morgan (4), Connor (2) and Zachary (10 mos) at home with me. I love scrapbooking and cardmaking but my kids keep me too busy to do those as much as I'd like.

OUCH!!!

I have the worst toothache!!! I had a root canal, and the dentist told me it would be irritated for a couple of day. Unfortunately I am in soooo much pain that he put me back on Vicodin. This doesn't seem to be helping very MUCH!!!

Oh What a Christmas We Had!!!

Just so you know, my blog posts from Dec 22nd to Dec 26th were pre-written and scheduled posts. So, they are accurate, but are NOT a complete account of what happened on those days. Let me see, where to begin...

Dec 22nd
I didn't really have the rest of the day to get ready to travel. Turns out that Aaron told me he was coming home early that day so we could leave earlier than I thought. Unfortunately I wasn't ready. But we were still on the road by 4:30pm. Yippy! At 8pm Connor mentioned that his tummy didn't feel good and then he puked all over himself at around 9pm! Yippy! We had to stop in the middle of the road to clean him up and lost Zach's only bottle in the meantime! We stopped at Walmart to get more bottles and a trash can (incase Connor needed to get sick again) and just when we got back on the highway, Connor got sick again! Yippy! I don't know how many times we ended up stopping on the way to Virginia, but it took us about 14.5 hours and we rolled in at about 6am on the 23rd. Yippy!

Dec 23rd
Pretty much like the blog says, we rested (me alot due to Vicodin I was taking for my tooth!), and visited with family, played games and then off to bed for Christmas Eve!

Dec 24th
4:00am, Morgan came to me and told me that she was sick and needed to puke. Oh boy, here we go! She was sick until about noon that day.
6:00am, Madison came to me and told me that she was sick and needed to puke. Yep, she was sick until about 2pm!
We ended up going to the town of Petersburg, Va, to check out some antique shops etc. Aaron ended up going to the car due to being sick to his stomach! He ended up staying in bed for the rest of the day when we got home. He ended up getting sick later that night. Early evening, Laly (sister-in-law and hostess) ended up going out and buying new PJs for everyone in the house (19 of us!). When she got home, she promptly puked in the driveway!!!!! Fun!!

Dec 25
Soooooo excited! The gift that I got in the family gift exchange was quite a great surprise! I had asked for Amazon.com giftcards so that I could purchase and start Project Life for 2012. Instead, I got the Project Life Core Kit - Amber addition. I am sooo pumped to start!
Oh and by the way, Ryan was sick all morning, he threw up a few times. Grandpa got sick later in the evening, he threw up too! Some time during the night, grandma got sick as well. FUN!!

Dec 26
Time to go home. We stopped at IHOP for breakfast on our way out of town, Grandma had crackers to eat since she was still feeling queasy!

We found out yesterday (or maybe this morning) that Baleska ended up getting sick on the way back home to California. Sorry everyone, hope you all still had a good Christmas!!!

Whew, It's Finally Over...Almost!!

Santa came to Butch and Lali's house and left a small gift for each of the kids, with a note telling them that the rest of their gifts are home under our tree. Yay, when we get home, we have to take care of that, and then some time in the next few days we will celebrate Christmas with the McLaughlins. I will be soooo glad when it's all over and we can move on to the new year!!

Today we're traveling back to Indiana, hopefully the weather will be good to us all the way! Have a great day!

You Better Not Pout...

Well, I've got the rest of today to finish getting ready for our trip, hopefully everything for Christmas is finished by now!!! We will be leaving sometime this afternoon or this evening and I don't know when we'll get to Virginia. It should be around 12-13 hours I think. Hopefully the kids will be good in the car!

Tomorrow we'll visit with family we haven't seen in a while, Saturday Santa will come and Sunday will be a joyous day for everyone!

You Better Not Cry...

Yesterday's Christmas goal was to bake cookies, make giftcard holders, keep the house clean, do the laundry and pack 6 people. Hmm, I'll just tell you I got some of it done, but not all of it! I still have tonight to get things done for Santa, but I'm just hoping that it all gets finished! Once we're on the road, I can't do anything else!!

You Better Watch Out...

Well, yesterday's goal was to finish the shopping and start the wrapping (and clean the house!). So did she do it or not?

Nope! Didn't get any of that done. However, I did get the dishwasher fixed, the computer debugged and made two containers for the kids' teacher gifts.

Today's goal is to make sure the house stays (gets!) clean and bake some cookies to take with us on our trip. I also need to find time to finish (start!) the wrapping, make giftcard holders for the tons of cards I have to give, do the laundry, and pack myself and 5 kids! I suppose I can split these up between today and tomorrow, but I will have 2 additional children home with me tomorrow! That could be a good thing, or a bad thing!

We'll see!!

Stupid Computer! Christmas is Coming!

My computer must have a virus or something. It takes about 1-2 minutes to move from page to page so it's taking a really long time to post anything. BUG!!

I'm just going to sit here and set up some drafts to post later. I'm just too busy with Christmas to wait around all day to post!

So, for today's post, I will just tell you that I have not finished my Christmas shopping, and I haven't even started wrapping. I have to have everything finished by Wednesday, because we are leaving sometime on Thursday for Christmas in Virginia! Santa will stop at Butch and Lali's house and leave a small gift for each child with a note that everything else is waiting at home. Then I have to have someone come into my house and put the Christmas presents under the tree while we're gone!

My Christmas goal for today, clean the house, finish shopping, start wrapping. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went!!

Things I am (or have been) Working On

Well, just like I always do, I've neglected my blog again. I really wish that I had a specific "genre" or idea that I could blog about every day. I think in 2012, I'm going to take a picture every day and maybe I'll blog about those. Who knows?!?!

In the meantime, since my last post, I've been working on papercraft projects that I've sold and that I've just done for fun. So, I'm going to post some of them here for you to see.

This is a banner that I made for my sister-in-law. She is a photographer and she uses this banner for birthday pictures. One side is for girls, the other side is for boys!

Some Christmas cards that I made last year that I decided to put in my Etsy shop this year.

Cupcake toppers that I made for a woman in Tennessee. She ordered a banner that said "It's a Girl" to go with them.
